Grocer's Scales

Weights and Measures is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of each scale that determines a charge to the consumer. This is done by an annual inspection of each scale in the City of Spokane.

The type of scales most often seen are the Computing Scales which are used to calculate weight and price per pound to arrive at a total price. Electronic ones are often found at check stands in grocery stores to weigh produce.
